Yes you can drive up there, it is steep, and beware that the road is very very narrow, and hard for two vehicles to pass. People have spray painted good stop points on the road to stop at so you can see ahead of the turns. Follow those. Once you get to the top, beware of paragliders, as they take off from the top parking area. There is a parking area in the shade, just before the summit, about two hundred feet from the top. I'd recommend stopping there and walking up in case the top parking lot is full and keep you from backing down the steep hill. I would drive, but you can hike it. Be aware it is a steep drive!!
You can drive almost all the way to the top, its a paved road but however a steep climb and few risky curves along.
