The veterinarian or veterinary establishment that vaccinated your dog should have provided you with the tag if you lived in the same county the very was at during the vaccination. Meaning very will give you the tag on the spot. Unless very was located in a different county than yours. Vets aren't allowed to issue rabies tags to people that live in other counties. If that was the case you need to take proof of vaccination to animal care and control of your county and they will issue a tag for you. Also if pet isn't spayed or neutered it will create a whole set of rules and fees will increase exponentially.
Go to your vet. Rabies tags are always given on the spot. If you got it done at a petco or somewhere similar, they will give you one on the spot so as long as you have the certificate. It takes 30 days for animal care and control to update it into their system, I believe.
You need the rabies certification and take it to the Broward county animal shelter and you get the tag
You should be able to buy a Broward tag at any Vet office or broward website with proof of the rabies vax
