Declawing cats is unhealthy for the cat and causes many behavioral problems. Declawed cats become aggressive and have many accidents outside of their litter box because it hurts them when they try to dig in the litter. Declawing a cat is the same as cutting of your fingers from your first knuckle. It is not recommend to declaw your cat unless it is absolutely necessary. There are sprays you can buy to prevent them from scratching furniture. On that note I believe you would need to take your cat to a private vet to have them declawed however it is not recommend. Please don't declaw your cat it is cruel and inhumane.

God I hope not.

I know that they do but I'm not sure how much. My vet did.

Most places no longer declaw cats as it is cruel and a bit inhumane. If people are worried about their furniture and household items more than leaving the cats as God intended them, with claws than perhaps they should not own a cat. You can teach them and deter them from scratching which is a natural thing for them.

I know they do just about it but you got to call and ask

Claribel Ramos Rolon | Sep 6, 2021

You should call directly to them for that.
