They dont need to if you find the exact item cheaper elsewhere buy it but REI has exclusives so make sure your getting what you think you are.
El romansa.. You are going there because they have good products at reasonable prices and they're a great organization that Has no I'll cheerier motives and is there to help the environment as well as providing a service..... No one is getting rich with REI. So don't nickel and dying them
