Florida Department of Motor Vehicles (FL- DMV) requires you to surrender your license plate by mail or in person at the County Tax Collector's Office in the following circumstances: If you sell the vehicle without transferring the license plate to a new vehicle, If you move to a new state, or if you cancel the insurance on your vehicle.
You plate is your forever, for 5 dls in any tag agency you keep it, in my opinion, I never cancel my insurance car, before finished all moving circunstances.
