Dogs are not permitted in any Broward Natural Area or nature center because their smells disrupt the species that live in those areas. Dogs are allowed at any large regional Park as long as they are on a leash . The staff at Secret Woods work really hard to protect the plants and animals...and they do make sure that pets stay off the trails .
When we went a couple of weeks ago, a staff member came out and greeted us and told us about the different things to do. Then another one was waiting when we were done so the kids could turn their scavenger hunt in.
