I've been trying to communicate with EDD for more than four months now. Haven't received one penny since I was laid off in October 2020. No response to online messages even though promised within 5-7 days. Have never been able to reach anyone by phone even though the recording says they've ramped up to handle more calls, only to be told at the end of the phone tree to call back later due to number of calls. What a joke.
Yes it happens to me a lot of time after hours of waiting call disconnects and the options takes too long process before you can even be directed to your issue. As now I called and was told to talk to claim specialist that was 3pm and I am still on hold will see till 8pm if my call gets kicked out. This is ridiculous people need help and it is so hard to get hold of them.
