The discharges are for multiple reasons. They have a no tolerance policy. Once someone does not abide by the rules they get discharged. Follow the rules and You won't have an issue. Also you need to fight for your recovery. They help as much as you work at it. If you are In for a spin dry then they will most likely help someone who is advocating for themselves. But there hasnt been a discharge at P.T. in over 1 month and that person failed to abide by his court order. Hope this helps. As for the unprofessionalism, in which ways do you mean?
Linda, instead of looking at the program, you may want to look at the client. As Timothy has stated, there are rules to follow, and also personal growth in recovery is expected. Some programs put up with a lot of stuff from the client and others are not going to put up with a lot of stuff. If they can't follow the rules in a program how are they going to be able to follow the rules out in the real world? They don't follow the rules or they don't change because they're not ready yet and if they're not ready then step aside so they can help the one who is willing to do more for themselves. Do yourself a favor just find another place the place that's right for you cuz you don't have time to worry about what's wrong with them you just got to find a place that's right for you cuz at the end of the day you're the most important thing
