There are plenty of indoor rides, especially at Studios
As an employee of Universal Orlando working the attraction Incredible Hulk we are an outdoor roller coaster therefore if we are directed to close our ride we would recommend something else in IOA-Islands Of Adventure as in Spider Man, Harry Potter, or The Indoor Arcade!!!
Hulk coaster and Hollywood coaster get closed due to bad weather. That's about it. Even the jurassic park river ride stays open

You have plenty indoor rides to choose, fun never ends in Universal!
Like asking 'what happens when you fart?'... well let's just answer that 'it stinks most of the time' but D'oh like a fart it doesn't linger long. Bring a cheap poncho... Hopefully you'll get the 411 if a typhoon is imminent🤣
You either get wet and keep riding the rides or you go into a store and wait it out. Most rides stay open unless it is lightning or heavy rainfall

There 4-6 rides that are indoor total in the resort. There are still roller coasters however the Mummy and Gringotts bank are both strictly indoor coasters
When it rains, most of the outdoor rides (roller coasters) close for a little bit until the rain passes. there are however many indoor rides for you to enjoy.

If you are in Volcano Bay, your TapuTapu will remind you about the whether. Some rides will be closed in other parks. But they also have indoor rides in the other parks.
The outdoor roller coasters might close, but the indoor rides will still be in operation. The water rides won't close unless it's to cold or lightning is spotted.
You can either ride an indoor ride or there are plenty of very interesting shops to keep your mind occupied especially in the Harry Potter Sections in both parks.
Bring a poncho works well easy to remove and put in your backpack
Rain never last long sometimes the sun is still shining through the rain
Usually it passes quickly so go inside for a drink or meal or an inside ride.
