Aaron as everyone said it is connected to the second floor of the hotel. The doors at the Ford Center or Old National Events Plaza typically open an hour prior to an event. Some of the smaller events they dont always unlock the doors so there would be no access. Not very often that happens though. Hopefully we will see you for an event in the near future.
Yes, it crosses over 2 streets. The skywalk can be accessed from the 2nd floor and is very nice and convenient.
