I was there today and yes they made me take them off. I was able to hold them across my chest on the way down so no worries.
Most likely they will make you take them off.
You can wear them on all but two slides, dolphin plunge and ihu's breakaway falls. Dolphin you can hold them, ihu you have to take them back downstairs.
