Yes thwy will close the park when thunder and lightning but im not sure if you can call I was there yesterday and when it started thundering everyone started leaving
They stayed open while it rained but you had to exit the rides

No. Take the advantage to be as early as you can, park sometimes gets over capacity on parking and they will ask you to come back at a later time. Orlando weather in the summer it rains most of the time in the afternoon around 3pm so it depends how close are lightning strikes they may get you off the water till it clears and it is safe to go back. In Florida it rains almost everyday around 3:30 or so from June through September. So, if you're in the park you'll have to get out of the water until the rain passes through.
