I wore a waterproof piece around my neck for my phone camera on everything! I saw a guy with a go pro on the rapids ride. It is more about you protecting your own stuff. They are not responsible for lost or damaged stuff!!

If it's strapped to you, you should be ok. Although some rides don't even allow footwear.
