If you're ok with lazy rivers, wave pools, kids areas, and laying out then you'll have a lot of fun. If you prefer the big water rides and slides and such, get the express pass or you'll be disappointed at how few you'll get to ride because of the wait times
It is lots of fun. Sime flumes are evenotes of fun for whole family ...so not so scarey. Take flip flops/beanie shoes/swim shoes though as at any of the water parks, once your off the sand ... Perhaps heading for cool drinks ... The concrete gets very hot - in mid days sun burning hot, even the watered pathways. We just wore flip flops and all was well. We had a ball. Go for it. Mind a high factor sun cream if you plan to be there all day. We bought 50 and still had a bit too much sun. We learned quickly though. We didnt gave the express pass as they were expensive to buy but we had fun while anticipating and connecting with the kids while we waited. Its what you make it but there is plenty to do.
