Wet n Wild was one of, if not the oldest water parks in America. While it may not have seemed like it, there were many structural problems and inefficiencies that would have, in the long-term, cost more to fix than building a new park. Plus now Universal gets to put their name on it in advertisements and offers it in bundles with the other parks. Having been to both Wet n Wild and Volcano Bay, I can say this place is a worthy replacement. The theming here is amazing and there are quite a few modern advancements (like the Aquacoaster). I just wish they offered annual passes just for the water park.
