All the current whales were born at SeaWorld. They have exceptional care & live much longer than those in the oceans Perhaps you should take a look at the amount of great work being done by SeaWorld before you condemn them.

Cynthia Vazquez | Jan 8, 2022

Yes. It looks like they are healthy and well taken cared of.

Dec.2021 will END the Orca shows according to the new CEO.

erik bailey | Jan 8, 2022

Yes it is sad that they are in captivity but they also bring a lot of Hope and joy to the younger generation who can make a difference as they get older and help the entire population of Orcas. Think of the whales that are in there as heroes

Richard BREAKIRON | Jan 8, 2022

yes they are but currently on a plan to end captivity program.

Geoffrey Ryan Jervis Anderson | Jan 8, 2022

Stanley, before you vomit your holier than thou, I watched Blackfish (which is a faux-documentary) so I must know all, misinformed opinions you might want to actually educate yourself on all the worldwide programs, for example their conservation and rescue & rehabilitation programs, that SeaWorld funds and supports. You'd be amazed at how they've almost singlehandedly saved the Florida Manatee populations. What's the famous saying, "Those that live in glass houses..."

Great place for family fun

Its quite sad and shocking, really, to see that marine parks continue to exploit these beautiful mammals for greed and profit. When I was maybe seven or 8, I went to a dolphin show and I was so jealous that I desperately wanted to see dolphins. But now I'm 21, and I was realise I was a fool of ELEPHANTINE proportions to think observing cetaceans in captivity was ethical. Yet I have not given up my dream of seeing cetaceans. I want to see them in their natural habitat. This has got to be an activity on a bucket list. SeaWorld is NOT making an effort to rescue, rehabilitate and release marine animals. The industry imprisons them, tortures them and enslaves them against their will for human entertainment. I a man who will not allow my future generations to think this treatment of wildlife is acceptable in the modern world. Its just UNACCEPTABLE

James Iovino | Jan 8, 2022

If you knew anything about their programs you would know that they have whales that were hurt in the wild, and a few of those had babies in captivity. Those whales wouldn't survive in the wild. So they take care of them and inspire future generations to become animal caretakers and conservationists themselves.
