If your 'kid' is 18 or older, the only legal reason for someone who is over 18 years old and is still considered a child via DCF, is if the 'kid' has a disability. Usually a Learning Disability or Mental Illness. If no disability exists, then until the 18 year old is finished with high school, THEN they are no longer a Minor in DCF and Social Security's eyes... OR, if you are saying that DCF no longer considers a 18 year old person a child/minor and YOUR SURPRISED?!?!? REALLY???!!!???
