I don't know about the bathrooms but I wouldn't sleep there and check expiration dates on foodstuffs, sucks to be couple hours down the road and find your snack is expired
Its really not that bad. In reference to " bad" areas, its pretty harmless.
I think all the truck stops should have them, better then throwing something away and getting stuck by a druggies needle
