Responding that "in my experience wool is uncomfortable" is like someone asking me if they have water and I reply " in my experience water has sharks". Yes they have 100% wool yarn, blends, as well as cotton, acrylic, etc.
100% wool? I have yet to see 100% wool at Joann's, rather a scant selection of wool blends with 90% being worsted weight yarn. If you're looking for any quality yarn, you won't find it here, especially in a hank. Acrylic and novelty yarns are their thing. Must be a lot of afghan crocheters out there. I'd suggest online or a good LYS if you need quality wool for your projects.
