Sac RT Gold Line Downtown-bound train to end of line at Sac Valley station. Connect to Capital Corridor train to Richmond, then take BART train southward to Berkeley.
What the previous two guides said. Sacramento Regional Transit (bus and light rails) do not do long distance traveling like that. You can possibly take a SacRT bus/light rail to get to a train, bart, or Greyhound station, but that's it.
