Frontier Communications came to our neighborhood and disconnected some old lines from the telephone poles. They failed to remove these lines which were connected to our house and instead left them dangling. We are afraid to remove them ourselves.

You can call in to have them removed. Customer or not. Dont go touching wires that youre not 100% are phone wires. Could be downed power lines. Thats why if you call in to any company they send someone out. No charge to you.

Not sure if they would just remove the old lines because it cost the company to send someone more than just their hourly rate. I have 3 hanging in my back yard also and I'm in at&t area. If you can remove them safely, do it. If they have any electricity it will only be 51 volts dc. No danger, chop them and bill Frontier,
