Can anyone explain why they charge 75 cents for water (espresso= $2.25, americano=$3), but ice water and another cup is free? Seems excessive.

Processed beverages, even water, has a cost. It's the packaging and handling at the production site. They offer water in a cup for free as a convenience to the customer. This is the same anywhere.

Fwiw, more than a few places (verve for example) charge same for americano & espresso. So *same anywhere* is a bit of a stretch. But OK.
