The Del Mar hasn't had beer or wine in at least 5 years. Did it ever?

They do not serve alcohol.

Why don't you go to the source? Telephone the cinema and ask for the manager. If s/he doesn't know, then maybe you could be directed to someone with historical knowledge of the theater.
