I believe that info is incorrect. I've spent more time at this hospital (especially in the past 18 months since Hurricane Irma) and in all areas, especially the ER, as well as taking Mom to her regular Dr. Appts in the main bldg & both my being hospitalized and visiting Mom when she's been admitted. We each have handicapped placards: they don't change any parking situations. For Dr appts its park in the parking garage (you pay when you leave) & they do have marked handicapped spaces on each level. The walk to the main bldg (& back) after parking there is quite long. So for dr appts we valet the car @ $7 a pop (plus tip). For the *new* ER, I can't speak to parking charges cause I haven't been there in a cpl months-but in the past if you drive to/park in ER lot & left after 10pm there's no one to make you pay. Leave while attendant is there & unless you show discharge papers, you pay depending on how long you'd been there. That MAY be diff now, but this is my personal exp. 🙂
