I like to personally thank my ER Nurse Nick who attended me in Mount Sinai Miami Beach 6/08/22. He made me feel heard and understood about what I was feeling in my body. He also comforted my husband and I from what we were sure was going to be emergency surgery on my appendix. Luckily, it was not the case but because of him I felt safe and calm about my situation. The doctors was kind and very straight forward as well. I highly recommend to friends and family. I was seen immediately, constantly checked up on and made aware of possible options/outcomes/decisions regularly by my doctors both the ER doctor and surgeon. Again, thank you, Nurse Nick!

My husband’s grandmother was admitted to this hospital after midnight. Nobody was allowed to be with her until 10:00 a.m. I called this morning to just know how she’s doing. The lady who took my call was speaking very fast and rude, she told me that they were switching shifts, that nobody was able to take my call. I just called a few minutes ago, the same lady with a rude tone of voice told me that the nurse was in a meeting and that no one could take my call. She suggested me to drive over there to see her and check by myself. My husband is on his way over there but we just wanted to know about her before getting there. This is not the hospital to take any of my relatives or myself. Sad reality.

Don’t come here if you’re expecting quick service. Even if the ER looks empty you will have to wait long hours. They will just forget about you. As a pregnant woman, I still ended up waiting 6 hours with excruciating pain, only to be told I need to go home and take more Tylenol. When I first arrived the female doctor there dismissed my pain immediately, before reading any of my health history, that shows I have fibroids. After all the tests, the nurses said I will see the doctor to discuss the results. The nurse that did my ultrasound said she didn’t know how to interpret the scans, and that I needed to wait for the doctor to speak to me. I had no idea what the ultrasound results meant. I waited several more hours. Instead, the doctor chose to unprofessionally chat with staff while I suffered in the room right in front of her. The doctor never spoke to me about the results, or the pain, or any of my concerns. I never spoke to her at all after that. You will be given a bunch of Wikipedia papers by the nurses, and then sent home. I don’t even know if this is legal. I’ve never had this happen at a hospital before. They even gave me the wrong patient discharge paper, I have some random mans name on mine. So unorganized. The staff and nurses are all kind and incredible. The doctor just doesn’t care at all. Please I beg you to go somewhere else if you want to see a doctor. My symptoms continue with no resolution and if it gets worse, I’m definitely NOT going back to that hospital.

Of course! If you are admitted as a patient, you always have the option of ordering all Kosher meals... Just be sure to ask! (Just fyi: All of the food at Mt. Sinai - from what's served to patients daily to what's available in the cafeteria - is always excellent.)
Lost likely the will take care of him but I'm sure it will be very expensive. I recommend you search your area for an urgent care facility. They should be able to treat your son and for a more affordable amount.

No matter what hospital you go to or doctor just make sure you ask questions and always get second opinions take it from someone who has been screwed over and hurt a lot from doctors and Hospital's. There is one hospital however I will tell you never to go to and that is Aventura Hospital
