With your AAA membership go to AAA and take with you all the documents of your vehicle. There is a DMV department in all branches.
Go to the DMV Department of Motor Vehicle
Either go to the DMV or walk in to your closest AAA office
If you are a AAA member, use the DMV desk inside the AAA office. They will take good care of you. I got my placard there.
DMV has them on site. Last time it took me less than an hour to replace mine
