Just go to the shelter and explain. They will take the dog.

Most of Miami-Dade snd Broward County Shelters are full of mostly pits and Chihuahuas. If this pit is friendly, socialized and non-aggresive, meaning suitable for adoption, they will take the dog. You will have to bring her there and surrender all rights to ownership of the dog. If the dog is not suitable for adoption...well, they will most likely have to "put her down"
