Omg, it's such a cool building. It was the offices for the stockyards aka livestock exchange, which was a huge business in Omaha. So big, meat packing defined the surrounding neighborhoods. Immigrants came to work in the packing plants, like Italians, Poles big time, Latin people today. They shared their culture with Omaha as they settled here. I think it's awesome that the building has been restored & celebrates South Omaha.
