That is why Parents are responsible for bringing their child to the Sacrament of Baptism as soon after birth as possible. Except in case of necessity, the church, is the usual place of baptism.

I don't think the Cathedral is used for baptism ceremonies. Regularly it is used for priests and deacons ordenation and other important activities that cover the whole Diocesis. Regularly Baptistm ceremonies take effect in chuurches no in the Cathedral
