If they have a rubber back, then the rug shouldn't be put into a machine. If it doesn't have a rubber back and it is just woven, I'd imagine that the only thing you'd need to consider is size/weight. Their large capacity Queen Machines are big enough to handle things like sleeping bags and giant comforters and could probably handle a woven rug about 5x6.

Yes, you can wash throw rugs! We have 4-load and 6-load machines that are sturdy enough for washing rugs and other large items. If the rug has a rubber back that is not falling apart, it can be washed with cold water. Rubber backed items should not go in the dryer. Thanks for asking and thanks to those that responded!

I agree on the rubber issue. No rubber, no problem. They have 3 different size loaders, so one of them would probably work.
