Actually, unless it is the timing belt,depending on which belt it is, you can drive for a limited time. Modern Subaru vehicles use a timing chain in lieu of a timing belt. If it is the power steering belt, it will be much more difficult to turn. If it is the alternator belt, the battery will slowly die, so you need to drive to safety ASAP because your time/ability to drive will be limited. If it is the A/C belt will not be the end of the world. I hope this helps you.
