Is the tram open year round?

I rode it in August. Do not know how long it is open.

My husband and I just rode the tram last month from what I understand in the summer they run for explorers/hikers. He works in Anchorage, Alaska. I am in Texas and visited the first time. 8-19 through 8-30 2018

It was cold and rainy when we went and it was open, so I think so.
