They are outright just lame host.Things weren't ready places were dirty and their responses were late and very lame. Jessica Starbucks the manager of the place only argued with every single comment and did not acknowledge any responsibility she thinks the springy really bad sofa mattress is just fine.

Vacasa seems to be gifted at taking a charming local property and completely messing up small details that a traveler wants. (1) I booked a rental for TWO NIGHTS while on the road in Alaska and was asked to print, sign and fax an eight page contract, verify my identity and also sign an email with property rules. (2) the property my wife and I stayed at was well kept but the window slanted along the roof line by the bed showing the entire bed out the window without curtains. There were neighbors next door. Five hours of driving with anticipation of having a bed with privacy and then that. Good thing we found a private road beforehand ;-) (3) the WiFi didn’t work. Small thing when you’re in a beautiful place like we were. However, we’ve done a lot of remote working lately and this would have been a disaster if we weren’t on vacation. (4) no blinds or shades on windows in Alaska in July. Enough said.

We stayed here in July and loved it. These are people's homes that they rent out to people (vrbo) so all units are different. We had a large group and used a couple of the homes. Each had their own special charm. They were maintained wonderfully, very clean, and the owners were extremely accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend coming here. Girdwood is one of the coolest places I've ever been and you are so close to amazing sights and activities. We will be back for sure!!!

My review is partly based upon Alyeska Accommodations and Brighton #106. When you read the description and see the pictures of the condo, you do expect that is what you will see when you arrive. It was hot on the day we arrived. It was not possible to open the patio door because there is no screen (even though this is an inexpensive fix). There were no working lights in the entry way, and it was dark so I tripped over the shoe rack coming in the door. Before you see the view, you look out on an unkempt lawn, a dusty street and through some trees to see the tops of the mountains. The floors are very cheap, so you could hear the person living above this unit walking back and forth. The hallway is dirty and people are using cardboard boxes to prop the door open, even though it is clearly marked as a secured building. My disappointment in Alyeska Accommodations is that they would even consider renting such a place, and at such a high price of $200 for an efficiency. We'd been better off going to the public use cabin.
