Like everything else, spikes, lug nuts, license plate screws, etc., loosen them every few months. Clean and replace if needed. Especially if you have a great pair of golf dhoes!
Peter, I suggest you bring them to the store. We have some tools to help get worn spikes out. We would be happy to assist you.
They provide that service if you buy spikes. There are special wrenches, and experience goes a long way in the extraction of badly worn spikes.
