Any body of water in florida, you have to look out for gators, just incase. They travel usually at night from a body of water to another if they are moving.
When that big gator is there, my kids are out of the water. He is not scared and will slowly start sneaking over. There is no way I will be in water with one nearby that big. They can grab a 200 pound hog by the snout and drag it under water and hold it until it drowns, and then stash the body under water to snack on until it is gone. If the water is very shallow, I go in only as deep as I can see the bottom for a distance, and can still move. Gators are very quick, especially in water.
Yes. Alligators are really scared of humans. Never feed them. They do not run around the park. It is very shaddy around the river where the park is so you rarely see them out sun bathing and that is normally early morning. Lots of people fish, boat, and swim the river. Don't use fish stringers. Have a shore bucket. They will try and eat your fish on a string.
I have never seen any alligators there. Im not saying there are not any present. They are not laying along all the banks
People do canoe all the time but there are times you can see the alligators on the side of the river....
Gators are always around but the kid/pool area is not near the river.
Have seen lots if people including kids in and around the water. Would I go in? No way.
Kerry is rite. But be careful around the water. They probably won't bother you. But better safe than sorry.
Have never heard of the Gators bothering anyone.
