I travel in my 1975 Winnebago 21 foot Brave. I visited a friend who is a member that I haven't seen in years. I was harrased by management for the few hours I was parked in the space my friend was renting and made to leave even though I was not staying there over night. Those people are absolutely disgusting. They caused a problem for me and my friend and that was not right. Trashy people managing who actually live on the premesis who harass others too.

River was low, still kayaked and looked for fossils in river. Really cool county museum just up the road. Lots of places to eat in vicinity. Camp sites are a little close, most are sewer, water, electricity. Nice walking trail. We'll be going back.

As others have shared the check in process is a mess. We arrived at a busy time and it was completely overwhelming to try to find a place to park so we could check in and get on the lottery for a full hookup. Not my favorite, but the manager could see my stress and tried to alleviate that a bit. Once we were settled everything was great. We managed to get a shady full hook up spot in a quiet area, thankfully. The Peace River is definitely the draw to this place. We enjoyed an overnight canoe trip while we were there through a local canoe company. Family played pickle ball and enjoyed that. Otherwise, it's a lot of people crammed in there for my taste. Bathrooms and showers were nice enough. We were in the area visiting friends in Punta Gorda to we did some grocery shopping there as well as locally. We enjoyed the farmer's markets and the small wal-mart had most of what we needed.

Beautiful campground! Really friendly staff! Fun fossil hunting in the area. Friendly campers. I literally lost count of how many people offered to help or just said hi and had tips for the campground as we were coming in to park. Love the museum across the street. A really nice spot!! Just wish there were more campsites with full hook ups.

In mornings at office but there is a very nice cafe called the pioneer around the corner that always has coffee.
They go by contract on at least a year basis. We pay 42.50 per month that's in the camp grounds for 2 weeks out for one
There are several spots to throw a line at Thousand Trails Peace River. You get catfish, tilapia, sometimes bass and crayfish\crawdads. You can also go up the road to the Pioneer Park, also on the Peace River, to fish.
Yes and make note of rainy season lots of standing water there✌
Heated yes. Kayaks/ canoes no
I believe the office closes at 4:30 or 5:00pm. Call first and they will leave your check-in packet by the door.
If not but I think you can literally right across the river is Pioneer Park and they have a bigger loading dock.
Yes, they have daily activities for the kids
We have a membership through Thousand Trails. I don't know how much they charge or if they do charge. I'll be there again from the 14th to the 28th. People there are fantastic. Very friendly campers. Dog friendly.
I don't remember seeing any but that doesn't mean there isn't. I would call
Right now, I would call to make sure. There was some areas under water and now it's muddy.
Not sure brought our own.
Don't try to pull through they fined one guy that did. Because water line broke. They should put big signs up no pull throughs.
There are camp and RV sites also.
Won't know until 12/28, sorry. TT Orlando does though
No
We have stayed at Peace River campground It's on a Creek good place to kayak. One or two little restaurants.
Wouldnt call it a bike trail but there is a trail and plenty of asphalt streets to use. There is a sidewalk outside the park on the roadway.
They don't have really much of anything as far as activities, events, etc. There adult craft is you bringing your own craft project to work on and if another adult shows up and are interested in learning what you"re doing then they can watch you, ask questions and get the supplies for themselves and start their own project. Real weird I'd say.
Peace River is a Thousand Trails campground but they also have retail spots for non members. You will need to make a reservation. Happy camping.
Yes. Call for price. Not sure if you asking about camp grounds or cabins. I've stayed in cabin really nice. Thinking about going back day after Christmas. Can reserve in advance. Plenty to do. Game room, trails, tennis court and many things to do outside of the park also.
No, Sorry!
Depends on the length of stay.....call the office for up to date pricing
You can rent an annual site reasonable.
They have little cabins 1 bedroom cabin with kitchen and bathroom
No bring your ownThere is a kitchen area, Rustic, not Ritz
No, but the campground is pretty small. You can walk from end to end in less than 10 mins at a slow pace.
It depends on which cabins you get. There are a couple of cabins without bathroom facilities but these are across from the bathhouse. I believe there are also a few cabins with facilities.
If you arent a member i have no idea, best to call, but yes always spots available for tents.
Any body of water in florida, you have to look out for gators, just incase. They travel usually at night from a body of water to another if they are moving.
