Should have called the front desk as soon as you found out heater did not work. They would have gotten it fixed for you or moved you to a room with functioning heat. Am sorry to hear of your bad experience.
I was there in August, for the eclipse, so no heater problem! It would have been nicer to get a room away from traffic, though...
One of our visits, we woke up to the heat not working. Had an appointment to keep so just left. I did tell them about it the next time we stayed though.
We had the same experience on our visit, NO HEATER!!
Sorry that happen to you. All you had to do is call front desk to see if they'll fix it. I always bring portable heater, extra blanket, pillows, toilet paper, and etc just in case of a problem.
