I got an IID and it's way better than getting your tunes tied. It's free (thanks Obama), you don't have your period (I would have done it for this reason alone!), and you only have to get it changed every 5 years!!! Plus, it's much less invasive than tubal ligation. Hope that helps!
In the USA I am pretty sure you have to have a child first. Talk to your doctor about it. Go consult a doctor whose specialty is obstetrician gynecologist and they will have the answers.
