Hi Eddie! In the state of Florida, the following exemption exists for Disabled Veterans: $5,000 Veteran Disability Exemption Florida residents who are honorably discharged veterans with a service connected disability rating of at least 10% or who became disabled through an accident or other such misfortune, may qualify for this exemption. To apply, you will need to submit a letter from the Veterans Administration or a qualifying branch of the United States Government. The unremarried surviving spouse of a disabled veteran may also qualify for this exemption.
