Your cat got either an excessive amount of flea poison that wasn’t the right amount per pound or you didn’t let the treatment site completely dry up. It is recommended to not let your pet lick the treatment spot until fully dried. Once dried it is safe to groom. Please use a cone to void any future repetition. Or just buy the flea and tick pills from vet makes it much easier to administer that drops.
