Generally speaking everyone I have come across is respectful of your space. You're not likely to find yourself in a bad place without making a specific effort to get there. There are people there flogging, whipping, and binding, but it is all consensual and generally within defined spaces. So unless you voluntarily submit yourself to that it's not likely to happen. Keep in mind that there may be over 100,000 people there during peak hours. So you may want to get there when the event opens and there are fewer people so you can acclimate before it gets too crowded. Then if you find the crowd and atmosphere to be too much you can slip away and see some of the other things around SF.

Thank you for your reply. I feel it would be best not to go being in my condition. I care not to spoil everyone's fun. You all have a great time and play dirty. LOL
