Is there a policy on bags? Are back packs allowed, or only purses?

Both are allowed but they will get searched. Don't know if there's a limit on size though.

Ironically, LA is the strictest on searches, compared to NorCal, or outside of LA. They say they check for weapon, but they stop more than weapon, don't even think about bringing any medication, better consume them before entering, the bouncers are EXTREMELY unfriendly and unreasonable, so don't even try.

Both, same policy as most places. Just don't have illegal things in it.

You can bring one, but you have to put it through a metal detecter thing and they will search it. However, it's very small and standing room only, so I wouldn't bring anything too large. It will get in the way. :)
