I've been eating here for over 40 years and two things I'm seeing for the 1st time: prices almost double and short lines. I believe it's called the law of economics. The defenders of this below are masked management because there is no justification for excessive price increases except greediness by management. I asked several of the long time workers who know me, if they had received a raise. Nope. Greedy management will not allow that to interfere with their pocket filling goals. I fear Tito's has reached the end of their era.
I've been going there since I was a kid and I just had lunch there this afternoon. It was delicious as usual but I don't remember paying so much for two tacos, beans and a drink ($12.10) I don't go there every week as I don't live close enough but at least 4 or 5 times a year I stop by there for lunch when I'm in the area working. I know how it is running a business in this city but you also have to be competitive to survive. I'm sure Tito's will always be there but I can't imagine someone with a big family eating there with those prices. Now let the haters hate. some of us work for our money so we have the right to complain a little.
Lived in Culver City all my life, I don’t even go to Tito’s anymore because of the constant increase in pricing. It’s sad really ;(
@David Starkman Tito’s IS a “Taco Stand”. Inflation has not been so bad since 1959 to justify multiple 200% markups in the past 5-15 years. The food is great and is a staple for LA/Venice/Culver natives. Well, it used to be before they started gouging you for chips and salsa... No more family meals at Tito’s, just tourists and old locals who still like to reminisce about warmer, nostalgic times...
You guys calm down. I know youre use to being catered to but drop the snobby LA mentality. Its good food and prices increase.
Never looked at the menu before but I will agree the food is a little pricey but to me it's worth it
Probably an outdated menu price
9 months ago I feed 3 people for $38.50 and this Saturday I spent $45 for two people. Excessive increase.
Please make sure to check the official website at www.titostacos.com and the restaurant for correct pricing. We're not responsible for unauthorized & fake posting of our menu prices. Thank you very much.
Tito tacos advertised a cheaper price to lure them in.. they are not that cheap...
Why do you expect to pay less their prices are great if you went to Pacos on Washington you would pay their prices just because you can walk up to a window you expect to pay less think about it for over 40 years this place did not raise their prices now that they have you want to complain
Good question, next question..
Try chuys tacos dorados in la same but cheaper and no long wait
I tried it for the first time last week. It was alright. Its whatever really. I think people go because its popular for some reason some history idk. Its far I like taco trucks anyways. this is really nothing to fight about. Orale
Sure you can get cheaper tacos and burritos at a taco stand. But these are shredded beef tacos with their own unique delicious flavor and a great old fashioned salsa. My favorite is the all meat burrito. It has tender stew like beef and a wonderful reddish brown sauce.
I don't usually comment on things like this, but oy vey-I hadn't been here in a year, and literally the prices DOUBLED. And I even remember the last time I was there (a year ago) I thought the prices were absurdly high, but having just reopened after Covid, I was like... eh it's Titos I'll give it a pass. I mean let's be real: for the quality of the food, the prices don't align. You're paying the same prices at places like Chipotle and Tocaya that you're paying at Titos now. And this isn't an endorsement of Chipotle or Tocaya, but this is just to put it in perspective. Also another thing I noticed: I was there on a Saturday afternoon at prime lunch hour, and there was barely a wait. They had closed off the indoor windows, so it was only the outdoor windows that were open. Again barely a wait, and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but could it be that it's less busy for a reason? Look I get it, prices rise over time - but not like this.
$1.50 food truck 🚚 taco 🌮 serving for sit down $5 buck restaurant prices. 30+ years customer saying; "BYE!"
I've been going to Tito's tacos for years 11 years approximately their prices went up because I think that they sold the place to somebody else so everything went more sky high they're not as good as they were before but they're okay I'll still eat there I'll take my kids there too they love them
And it's FAULSE . Get educated
True the prices have gone upwards. The beef the last time I was here was stringy and dry and the shell was harder. But I do like the salsa there. Been going there for over 15 plus years since my brother in law showed me the place. Back when they had better hours and prices. But they do have other stuff on the menu that taste good to. You can say you been there check it off your bucket list and then don't go back for a couple weeks, months or a year. I always hated the long lines that's why I had to time it just right so the lines were not that long.
Very time i go back thru venice therea always a line worth the money love there salsa i jus wish they never closed down the titos in O.C
google has old prices on the menu. To see actual price you havw to go directly to titostacos.com
