Almost a year to the day after I purchased my first mattress from Sit N Sleep, I bought a second. Both times, the salesperson who helped me (Larry, most recently) was especially friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and respectful. Larry listened, understood both my selection criteria and target price point and immediately directed me to the three mattresses that would best suit my needs all while entertaining me with charming stories. The delivery process was super-organized; I received several notices by text and telephone letting me know exactly when the delivery team would arrive. Mattresses come in five standard sizes. These are twin (39"x75"), twin XL (38” X 80”), full (54"x75"), queen (60"x80"), Eastern King (76"x80") and California King (72"x84"). NOTE: exact mattress sizes vary by manufacturer and by model. The dimensions given are only approximations.
The box spring acts as the foundation of the bed. It provides support for the mattress by acting as a shock absorber. These two pieces were designed to compliment each other when working together as a set. Although there are several types of platform beds that do not use a box spring, pairing your new mattress with an old box spring is not recommended.
You will need special sheets if you are purchasing a very thick mattress with a thick pillow top. Sit’n Sleep offers a selection of high profile or deep pocket sheets that fit very well on these thicker mattresses. When selecting sheets, it is also important to keep in mind that your sheets are part of your sleep environment, therefore comfort, thickness and softness should be considered when making your sheet selection.
Your new mattress should be rotated every week for the first few months and each month thereafter. This pattern will allow you to get the most even wear and extend the life of your mattress.
