I agree with the last answer. As long as it's packed, sealed, in an ice chest, and doesn't smell or leak, you will pay for cargo (extra baggage) or count as your carry on if it's within the weight limit. The airline won't assume any liability for the meat quality however, e.g. if the meat spoils or the temperature gets too high.
Yes as far as I know. I had flown from LAX to Sac International with about 100 lbs of fish but it was frozen and sealed shut in a cooler. Not to sure what thier policy is for carry on though. You might want to check thier website or call your airlines to see what thier policy is.
