The best way to dine at Johnny's without a vehicle and use Lyft ir Uber. They have great mix drinks like Al Capone one of them and friendly bartenders staff. That is if you plan to drink. For the family dining out the best parking is behind the building's block, YMCA and walk on Jay Street.Nice walk before dinner and after. Although, Schenectady, especially downtown is tough on parking off the street and don't forget to pay parking fees during the business hours to avoid fine.
We always use the large parking garage juat acrosa the street. Easy in and out.

There is free 2 hour parking 1 block down to the right of Johnny's on Broadway in 2 different lots as well as a large garage (small fee) to the left of Johnny's, also on Broadway.

There are several lots around Jay Street that are free for two hours during the day and all night. Less than a block walk. The garage on Broadway is good in inclement weather.
Parking on street if you are lucky enough to find a spot. There are several parking lots and a garage nearby.
