Parking in Schenectady is pretty tough but when I go down to Johnny's I park in a parking lot on Clinton street but during the day I'm sure all the businesses that are operating use it,its a private parking lot,but ok to use after 5. If you follow Clinton street down to the light and take a left there are probably spaces on the street to park and then you can just walk down J street and Johnny's will be at the end of Jay street. The parking lot on Broadway is also a spot you can park but most of the state workers that work at DOT park in there so I would imagine it's pretty full during the day.
Either side of the building, on State Street is possible. However that parking is limited. If you Google map it and look behind the building, there are big municipal parking lots back there that you can park in. The Jay Street alley takes you from those parking lots straight through to State Street. The other possibility is the parking garage around the corner from Proctor's on the other side of State Street. Look for Villa Italia on the Google map and that parking garage is right behind it (I believe that cross street is Broadway). Also, hands down, absolutely best bakery in the Capital region is Villa Italia. Everything is great, the mouse mice are to kill for!
Either side of the building.
