I have a half German Shepard/half lab looking for a new home!
I am pretty sure they do because these institutions have dogs of all sorts of breeds, sizes and personalities. But in reality they don't charge you for the dog hemself only for the services that are performed during the adoption process which include: sterilization, vaccination, microchipping and licensing, as well as a free vowcher for you to take your dog to the veterinarian of your choice for a physical examination. If it turns out that he/she is sick with parvo virus for instance you have to pay for the treatment separately.
