We are looking for a retired couple who would like a yorkie/shitzu. She is a lapdog and in perfect health. We have to give her up after 8 years due to life style changes. Or a recommendation for a animal shelter that would take her?

Pasadena Humane Society is another no-kill shelter that would do its utmost to find her a forever home. But you are absolutely, positively despicable! Are you seriously getting rid of your poor doggy after eight years simply because your life style has changed?! You see, a dog is a family member not an old van that you can simply sell to the junk yard simply because you have bought a more modern sedan and the van is taking up all the space in the garage! A dog is a living, breathing creature with thoughts and feelings just like the rest of us! Have you even thought about how deeply you will hurt her feelings by coldbloodedly dumping her for the most trivial of excuses?! Have some compassion because one day you might become disabled due to a massive stroke for example and others will view you as a nuisance! Not even god views your cruelty with approval!
