Taxi, bus, ride share, rental car. Light rail is nearby but not tied to terminal.
Airport connection sucks at San Diego airport. They recently built a rental car center, which makes it a little bit easier to get a rental car. But buses are not easy to catch. No team or subway or trolley. Uber and Lyft is probably the best way to get out of the airport area.
